How long does it take to build an app?

A clickable prototype usually takes a few weeks. Most first versions take a few months from kickoff to launch. Larger apps with many user types take longer. We give you a timeline in writing before any build starts, and you can watch progress online as we go.

Should I build for iPhone, Android, or both?

Start where most of your users are. If you need both from day one, a cross-platform app in Flutter or React Native reaches both for less than two native apps. We'll help you decide at your free consultation. Native iOS & Android development

Should I choose native or cross-platform?

Flutter or React Native?

Both are proven. Flutter, from Google, is great for custom, branded designs that look the same everywhere. React Native, from Meta, is great if you already use React on the web or have a JavaScript team. We build in both.

Who owns the code and the app store accounts?

We recommend your business owns its Apple Developer and Google Play Console accounts, so the app is listed under your name. Ownership of the code and design files is spelled out in writing in your project agreement, so you'll know exactly what you get before any work starts.

Do I need an LLC to start an app?

You don't need one to build an app. Many founders form an LLC before launch to keep business and personal finances separate and to publish under a company name. This is general information, not legal advice. Talk to an attorney or accountant about your situation.

Can't I just build my app with an AI app builder?

AI builders can be fine for a quick prototype or a personal project. For an app you plan to sell, grow or run a business on, you'll need custom design, a solid backend, security, and App Store and Google Play approval. That's where an experienced team pays for itself. Many founders start with a prototype, then have us build the real thing.
