Native iPhone & Android App Developers

iOS & Android App Development in Florida

Fast, polished native apps for iPhone, iPad and Android, built and launched by one Florida team.

Native Apps Built for Speed, Polish and Device Features

A native app is built in the language each phone was designed for: Swift for Apple devices and Kotlin for Android. That means your app runs fast, feels right on every device, and can use everything the phone offers, from Face ID and Apple Pay to the camera, GPS and Bluetooth.

Mobile App Development Company Florida builds native iOS and Android apps for businesses and founders across the state. We're powered by The App Bros, a Fort Lauderdale studio with more than a decade of app launches behind it. We design your app, build it, test it on real devices, and publish it on the App Store and Google Play.

Native is the right call when performance matters, when your app leans on phone hardware, or when you want the most polished feel on each platform. If you need both platforms on a tighter budget, we'll tell you when cross-platform makes more sense. Compare cross-platform apps

Our Native Tech Stack

  • Swift
  • SwiftUI
  • Kotlin
  • Firebase

We build Apple apps in Swift and SwiftUI, the tools Apple itself recommends. Android apps are built in Kotlin, Google's preferred language for Android. For the backend, we often use Firebase for logins, databases, push notifications and analytics, so your app has solid footing without a huge server bill.

Native iOS Apps: iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and More

Apple users expect apps that feel like they belong on their phone. We design around Apple's own guidelines, so navigation, gestures and text sizes behave the way iPhone users expect. That matters for reviews, and it matters for getting approved.

Native iOS also gives you first access to Apple features: Face ID and Touch ID logins, Apple Pay, HealthKit, widgets, Siri shortcuts and Apple Watch companions. If your app idea depends on any of these, native Swift is usually the best path.

Native Android Apps for Every Device

Android runs on thousands of phones and tablets from dozens of brands. That's a huge audience, and it's also why Android apps need careful building and testing. We build in Kotlin, design layouts that adapt to every screen size, and test across a spread of devices and Android versions before launch.

Android also gives you more freedom in some areas, such as background tasks and links between apps. We'll tell you which features work best on each platform.

Getting Through App Store and Google Play Review

Both stores review every app before it goes live. Apple's review is stricter. It checks design, privacy, payments and content against its guidelines, and a rejection can delay your launch. Google Play reviews new apps too, and new developer accounts can face extra testing steps before release.

We handle submission for you. We set up TestFlight and closed testing so you can try the app before launch, write your privacy details, prepare screenshots, and fix anything a reviewer flags. After more than a decade of launches, we know what gets apps approved.

When Native Is the Right Call

  • Performance matters. Games, video, animation-heavy apps and apps with real-time features run best native.
  • Your app uses phone hardware. Camera, Bluetooth, sensors, GPS in the background, or wearables.
  • You want the best feel on each platform. Native apps follow each platform's design rules exactly.
  • You're starting with one platform. If most of your users are on iPhone, a native iOS app first is often the smartest spend.

What Native App Development Costs

Native apps are priced by scope, like any app. Here are the starting ranges from App Cost Finder, our free app budget tool:

Budget tierStarting rangeBest for
Growth build$20k – $50kCustom design, backend and admin tools, payments or messaging
Custom platform$50k+Multiple user types, real-time tools, advanced integrations, scale

Starting ranges, not final quotes. Building native for both iPhone and Android costs more than one platform, because each app is built separately.

Native App Development FAQs

How much does it cost to build a native app?

Most native apps with custom design, a backend and features like payments or messaging start between $20k and $50k. Advanced apps with multiple user types or real-time tools start at $50k and up. Building for both iPhone and Android natively costs more than building for one.

How long does App Store approval take?

Apple reviews most apps within a day or two, but a rejection means fixing the issue and waiting for another review. Google Play reviews can take a few days, and new developer accounts may need a round of closed testing first. We plan launch dates around both.

Should I build for iPhone or Android first?

Build first where most of your users are. For many US consumer apps, that's iPhone. For apps with a broad or international audience, Android may matter just as much. If you need both at launch, look at cross-platform.

Do I need my own developer accounts?

Yes. We recommend your business owns its Apple Developer and Google Play Console accounts, so the app is listed under your name. We'll walk you through setting them up.
